A major attraction of Kausani is the Pant Museum, located a little away from the Kausani bus stand. The museum is named after the Hindu poet Sumitranandan Pant. The house which has the museum is the poet's house of his childhood days.

Another major attraction of the place is the Pindari Glacier. 25 kms from Bageshwar passing through Thapkot, is a trek to the famous Pindari Glacier. Tourists camp on the way to the zero point, only to witness the majestic view of the glacier.

Pinakeshwar is also a must visit attraction of Kausani. Situated 9050 feet above sea level, the hill station is 20 kms from Kausani. The place houses a temple of Shiva from where one can get the scenic view of many valleys. Around Pinakeshwar are other places like Old Pinakeshwar, Gopalkot, Huria etc.

For those seeking an adventurous escape, Sundardunga & Kafni Glaciers are a must visit. Both these glaciers are located in the Pindari Glacier area in different spots. The glaciers serve as the hotspot for the trekking enthusiasts.

Another popular attraction of Kausani is Chaukori, which is well known for offering magnificent views of the Himalayan peaks. Viewing the Himalayas from here makes you feel like you can touch them.

One of the most historical places of Uttarakhand, Baijnath is also a famous attraction of Kausani. Situated on the banks of the Gomti river, the Baijnath temple here was built thousands of years ago and can still be admired for its carvings and sculptures.

Best time to visit
Kausani experiences snowfall during the months of December and January, thus these two months may be avoided. The hill resort of Kausani is a retreat in the summer months and may be visited during April-June and September-November.

By Air – The nearest airport to Kausani is Pantnagar (177 km). There are 9 flights per week that fly from New Delhi to Pantnagar giving travelers plenty of options to fly in.
By Train – The railway station at Kathgodam is the nearest railhead to Kausani at a distance of 142 km and caters to the rail transport to Kausani.
By Road – Kausani is well connected with the other hill resorts like Almora, Ranikhet, Pithoragarh, Gwaldam and Nainital through road routes.
